BEAUTIFUL ONE EYED LADY
I was entering this art contest and one of the required themes was "Beauty is." Could they be vaguer?! However, I pondered this theme and came up with one of the most recognized beauties in the world, Queen Nefertiti of ancient Egypt. When excavators found her famous ceramic statue, the bust only had one eye finished. Even with only one eye, this woman was truly a knock-out. Archaeology and ancient history have often been a source of inspiration to me. |
